• Pat Walker, Executive General Manager, Royal Automobile Club and former Director General Aboriginal Affairs WA
(Automated Driverless Vehicle pilot)
• Professor Markham Rose, Executive Director, Indigenous Strategy and Education, La Trobe University
• The Department of Transport and Main Roads, Queensland
• NATSIC Product Launch (you’ll just have to wait until the conference to see this!)
Our last conference in Cairns was a resounding success with many people stating it was the best event they have attended. The speaker line up was remarkable and cultural component entertaining and informative. The network function at this year’s conference will rival the previous network function with stunning views from Kings Park overlooking the Swan River and Perth City at sunset.
The conference aims to provide an enabling platform for open dialogue to explore and define Indigenous specific transport options and innovations in remote, regional and urban locations. This will be achieved through promoting a strong focus on innovative transport solutions across areas that have significant impacts on the health, wellbeing, cultural obligations and social inclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities across Australia.
The conference content will also target transport related issues focussing on strengthening and increasing equity and access to My Aged Care and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
We would be grateful if you could assist us by passing this invite on through your networks and if you wish to discuss your attendance or if you require further information, please contact:
Hazel Davis, Assistant Conference Convenor on 0409 019 822, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
NATSIC looks forward to seeing old friends, stakeholders, and partners and meeting new ones.
Our Call for abstracts is now closed, the agenda is packed.
